Our Lalor Supported Independent Living home is a fully renovated and accessible three-bedroom residence located within convenient reach of public transport, shopping, healthcare services, cafés, and other community facilities.

The home supports children, adolescents, and adults, subject to individual assessment, compatibility, safeguarding considerations, and the support needs of current residents.

Lalor Train Station, Lalor Shopping Centre, medical clinics, cafés, and other local services are located within walking distance, supporting residents to remain connected with their community and build greater independence.

The property has been renovated to create a comfortable, practical, and welcoming living environment. Ramp access is available at the front entrance, and the home includes a combination of private bedrooms and shared spaces.

Residents can personalise their bedrooms to reflect their preferences and create a space that feels familiar, comfortable, and genuinely their own.

Support That Reflects the Individual

Our support team works with each resident to understand their personal goals, strengths, communication needs, routines, interests, cultural background, and preferred way of living.

Support may include assistance with:

• Personal care and daily routines

• Meal planning and preparation

• Medication management

• Household activities

• Shopping and appointments

• Community access

• Social and recreational activities

• Building confidence and daily living skills

• Maintaining family, cultural, and community connections

Residents are supported to make informed choices, develop independence, and take part in decisions about their home and everyday life.

Access to Allied Health Support

Occupational therapy services may also be available to assist with Supported Independent Living assessments, Functional Capacity Assessments, environmental recommendations, and ongoing therapy, subject to the participant’s needs, consent, NDIS plan, and choice of provider.

We also work collaboratively with participants’ chosen allied health professionals, behaviour support practitioners, support coordinators, families, and other members of their support networks.

Privacy, Friendship and Belonging

Lalor offers residents the opportunity to enjoy both privacy and social connection. The shared living areas and outdoor space provide opportunities to spend time with housemates, while each resident maintains their own personal space and daily routines.
